The Data · Timing analysis
All 4,966 drops, converted to US Eastern time with daylight saving handled. The timestamps show a strong human daily rhythm and long, irregular silences. They do not show a hidden schedule.
Drops per hour (ET) × weekday. Tap a cell for its count. Posting starts around 10–11 ET and runs to about 01–02 ET. On 8kun the rhythm shifts toward office hours: 41% of drops fell on weekdays 09–17, against 24% if posting were spread evenly.
Drops per week, plus the distribution of gaps between consecutive drops. Half of all gaps are under 14 min, and only 3.9% exceed a day. The long silences (563, 130 and 93 days) are irregular, and the 93-day one coincides with 8chan going offline in 2019.
Is :17 special? No. :17 has 84 drops against 82.8 expected, rank 23 of 60. Across all 60 minutes, χ² = 69.7 (p = 0.16), consistent with chance. The 17th of the month and multiples of 17 show nothing either, and drops exactly 1/5/10/15/17 minutes apart occur at chance level.
Q wrote “Clock started - 10 days.” (#370, 18 Dec 2017), “Wind the clock w/ all markers.” (#477), “THE CLOCK IS ACTIVATED.” (#793), “Think mirror.” (#128) and “Future proves past.” (36 drops). The phrase “Q Clock” itself never appears; it's the anons' name for the method.
How anons read it: the clock's 60 minute marks stand for 60 days, starting 7 Dec 2017. Dates on the same mark are read together, and the opposite mark (+30) is the “mirror”. Tap a mark to see its Q-era dates.
Honest test: Q's active days are spread evenly over all 60 marks (χ² p > 0.99), and every date sits on some mark. So the method always finds something. It's a lens for reading, not a measurable pattern.
The web version contains the full archive, search, strands, timeline, gallery and image export. Live Δ notifications need the Android app.
